Abstract

Biographies of radiobroadcasters H.V. Kaltenborn and Jose Pardo Llada are presented. Kaltenborn was born on July 9, 1878, and attended bilingual primary and secondary school, achieving fluency in German and French. He started his career in radio in 1921. Llada was born in 1923 and was educated in Jesuit school before moving to Havana to take up university studies in law. Pardo Llada achieved national prominence on radio in October 1944.
