Abstract

In May 2007 several key representatives from Queen Margaret University met with a view to developing the ongoing evaluation and monitoring of stress and well being at the University. These representatives included a variety of staff including those from Academic, Management and Human Resources departments, and independent researchers. In the months leading up to this meeting a literature review was conducted, a study proposal developed and its implementation agreed on. The study aimed to create a framework for ongoing stress research and to faccilitate the setting up of a related database in order to proactively monitor and manage any potential stress at the University.
