The complementary resultsfrom two small-scale studies of Glasgow Asianaccent confirm the identification of Glasgow Asianas an recognizable accent, identify accent featuresparticular to Glasgow Asian and not found inGlaswegian more generally, and confirm their use- with specific social-indexical functions - ineveryday speech.
