    Abstract
This dissertation aims to look at how women have distorted their bodies throughout the last hundred years with the aid of underwear and how the underwear restricted or freed them. I will be using books and the internet finding pictures and information to explore how underwear has changed within the last century. The conclusion of this study shows that underwear is a fundamental part of women's history and will continue to shape both their figures and their lives.
