dc.description.abstract | This aim of this study is to analyse the provision of the subject of drama in the authorities Dundee and Angus. The study will explore the underpinning theories of the Curriculum for Excellence and analyse what this curriculum aims to achieve. The study will be carried out in a qualitative nature as there will be interviews created and aimed at appropriate personnel within both authorities to discover if there are any barriers in place that prevent the subject of drama being delivered in every secondary school in Dundee and Angus. Questionnaires will be devised and aimed at students in secondary schools in Dundee and Angus. This will determine whether or not there is a demand for the subject of drama. They will suggest how drama helps students develop their skills and attributes. A discussion chapter will analyse the provision of the subject of drama with the evidence gathered from the questionnaires and interviews. The conclusion will analyse the process of the study. It will sum up the argument, discussing any issues perceived about the provision of the subject of drama in Dundee and Angus. Finally it will offer suggestions or strategies that will help to improve the provision of the subject of drama in these authorities should the information gathered be conclusive. | |
