(2016) The Marvel Cinematic Universe and Transmedia Storytelling, no. 29.
    Abstract
Introduction (part): Marvel Studios have asserted themselves as the creators of one of the biggest, and certainly most complex, film franchises of contemporary cinema. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is an intricate web of cross-over narratives, characters and events that ties together an extended storytelling experience where the viewer has the opportunity to explore a hugely diverse storyworld in-depth over a number of different texts and mediums, ranging from short films available as bonus content on home media to high-budget, action packed Hollywood blockbusters, which all contribute in some way to the overall story of the franchise.
