The entry begins by defining traditional bullying and its prevalence. Following this is a consideration of how traditional bullying manifests in adolescence, and its potential psychological developmental underpinnings at this life stage. Attention is also paid to the risk factors that increase the likelihood of traditional bullying in adolescence, and to the social context in which it plays out.
