| dc.description.abstract | This short review paper considers the envenomation process following a bite from a snake. The nature of the envenomation by indigenous adder (Vipera berus)is discussed alongside the treatment rationale. The lower limb is a common site for snakebite and reasons for this are detailed. Recommendations for first-line treatment and avoidance are specified. | |
