The coming out narratives of gay men nowadays compared to the time of the HIV crisis in the 1980s is an area of sociological interest that has so far been omitted from any research. This research aims to bridge the gap of knowledge by attempting to ascertain any similarities and or differences that gay men in the 80s compared to now may have. This is a subjective qualitative piece of research, and it will look at the previous literature conducted on sexuality, before moving on to the methodology of the research and the results.
