Abstract
ADHD diagnosis and Executive function deficits are of increasing concern as the knowledge
about the condition continues to expand. 100 participants were collected to partake in this
study. In this dissertational study a correlational method was used to see the relationship
between ADHD symptom markers and Executive Function tasks along with tasks of attention.
The Executive Function tasks that were used differed from previous research, meaning that
tasks not normally chosen to test the effect of ADHD on Executive Function performance
were chosen. This was to allow this study to stand out from previous research within this
field. Results of this study found that age correlated highly with ADHD symptom markers
from a self-report questionnaire. There were many unexpected correlations which may be
interesting for further research in the future. Conclusions of this study show that no
correlation was observed between ADHD and the Executive Function tasks used within this
study.
