(2015) Gender and Golf: A Qualitative Study of the Lived Experiences of Top-Level Amateur and Professional Women Golfers in Scotland, no. 37.
    Abstract
The aim of this research was to explore the lived experiences of top-level amateur and professional women golfer's in Scotland from a phenomenological perspective. Semi-structured interviews were used as the research method for gathering data. The data was examined through a simplified version of the explicitation process. Data showed that participants had been subject to a number of structural, interpersonal and financial constraints that hindered their progress, enjoyment and integration in golf at some point during their careers. Some data correlated with previous studies; however several new areas of data were identified.
